Can I take dried sea cucumber (hai3 shen1) into China?

As the title says.

Will it be more likely to make it through if it's vacuum packed? (and if so where can I have this done?)

Equally useful would be an official list of prohibited items for entry customs (anything from a government page would be good).|||practically you can bring anything into china these days, unless your look can stir up suspicion from the customs people.

otherwise, common sense applies. meaning no weapons, drugs, pornographic items, etc. plus, no agricultural products and raw meat. all common items with reasonable qty can enter.

so if you are not going to hide some drugs inside the sea cucumber, nothing to worry.

: P|||Yes dried sea cucumber is ok to take into China. If you're not bringing too many lugguages and your look is ok, the chance of you being stopped at the customs is almost zero. Just dont take arms, weapons, plants and anti-China propaganda including those publications that are banned with you.
